Equestrian Events: 2023 Calendar Guide

After the amazing Cheltenham Festival a few short weeks ago, we thought we'd give you the run down some of the top remaining equestrian events in the UK for 2023 - then some of my favourite looks for Ladies days!

 

    1. Badminton Horse Trials - May 3-7, 2023: One of the most prestigious three-day events in the world, the Badminton Horse Trials are held annually in May in Gloucestershire. The event features top riders from around the world competing in dressage, cross-country, and show jumping. The cross-country course is renowned for its technical challenges and natural obstacles.

    2. Royal Windsor Horse Show - May 10-14, 2023: This event is held in the grounds of Windsor Castle and features a wide range of equestrian competitions, including show jumping, dressage, driving, and endurance riding. The event also includes a variety of other activities, such as shopping, food and drink, and displays of vintage and modern cars.

    3. Hickstead Derby Meeting - June 22-25, 2023: Held at the All England Jumping Course in West Sussex, this event is one of the highlights of the British show jumping calendar. The main event is the Hickstead Derby, which features a challenging course that tests both horse and rider.

    4. Royal Ascot - June 20-24, 2023: Royal Ascot is an internationally renowned horse racing event held annually in Ascot, Berkshire, England. It is one of the highlights of the British equestrian calendar, attracting high-profile attendees, including members of the British royal family.
    5. The Royal International Horse Show - July 25-30, 2023: One of the oldest and most prestigious equestrian events in the world, the Royal International Horse Show is held annually at the All England Jumping Course in West Sussex. The event features a range of competitions, including show jumping, dressage, and showing, and attracts top riders from around the world.

    6. The Longines Global Champions Tour of London - July 20-23, 2023: Held in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, this event is part of the prestigious Longines Global Champions Tour, which features some of the world's top show jumping riders competing for significant prize money. The London leg of the tour is a must-see for equestrian fans and is known for its glamorous atmosphere.

    7. The Festival of British Eventing - August 4-6, 2023: Held at Gatcombe Park, the home of the Princess Royal, this event is a celebration of British eventing and includes dressage, cross-country, and show jumping competitions. The event also features a range of other activities, including a trade fair, dog agility, and live music.

    8. The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials - September 1-4, 2023: Held annually at Burghley House in Lincolnshire, this event is one of the toughest and most prestigious three-day events in the world. The event features top riders from around the world competing in dressage, cross-country, and show jumping.

    9. Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials - September 14-17, 2023: This event is held annually in the grounds of Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire and features a range of competitions, including dressage, cross-country, and show jumping. The event also includes a variety of other activities, such as a food and drink festival, shopping, and live music.

    10. Horse of the Year Show - October 4-8, 2023: Held annually at the NEC in Birmingham, the Horse of the Year Show is one of the UK's largest indoor equestrian events. The show features a range of competitions, including show jumping, dressage, and showing, and attracts top riders from around the world.

    11. Olympia, The London International Horse Show - December 12-18, 2023: Held annually at Olympia in London, this event is one of the UK's premier indoor equestrian events. The show features a range of competitions and is the only UK show to host all three FEI World CupTM Qualifiers in Dressage, Show Jumping and Driving. Each performance includes an equestrian competition along with a variety of displays from around the world.
