Each and every year we wait in anticipation around the middle, to end of March for these incredible birds to return from their epic adventures. It always astounds me how these tiny creatures manage such an expedition.
Sadly, in recent years there has been a huge decline due to many factors, and it’s heart-breaking. Swallows make the most beautiful sound as they soar and swoop and I’m constantly in awe of their beauty.
I found painting this peace bitter sweet but I’m so pleased I took the plunge, it has a beauty and power that touched my soul and I hope it touches yours too.
This Giclée print has been produced using Epson's 8 colour archival UltraChrome K3 pigment inks renowned for their superb lightfastness and printed onto the finest quality digital fine art paper from Hahnemuhle. This particular print was produced on: William Turner 310gsm 100% cotton paper.
